As a 3rd Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring manufacturing equipment to ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot equipment, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery according to established procedures.
  • Perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate larger mechanical concerns to maintenance.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and maintain production records.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and company guidelines.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Assist with changeovers and machine setup as production schedules require.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.



Experience Requirements



  • Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
  • 5 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, or micrometers is a plus.
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow written and verbal directions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and dependable work history.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
