Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as Full-time Therapist (LCSW) - for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Inpatient Program.. The Intensive Inpatient/Outpatient Program Therapist assists in the bio-psychosocial assessment, case management and treatment of patients under the supervision of the Intensive Outpatient Program Director. Primary responsibilities include the provision of group therapy daily to adult population, safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families. Provides clinical leadership on treatment team and formulating treatment plan.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.

  • Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and provides assigned patient care within the general policies, philosophy, and objectives of the Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed, revising as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards and revising as indicated by facility or professional standard.
  • Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
  • Implements interventions appropriate to the developmental needs of the patient in accordance with the treatment plan demonstrating sound clinical and professional judgement.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents the progress, special treatments, goals, and any other documentation on patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Therapist).

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
  • Current license from the State of Nevada required, LMSW/ CSW-I/ LCSIOPW/LCPC.
  • Minimum of one to three years relevant experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of psychiatric treatment, standards and requirements of all hospital agencies.
  • Must have knowledge in running therapy groups, Master Treatment Plan and understanding of psychological theories and mental health diagnosis.
  • Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations, and Policy & Procedures.
  • Knowledge of group therapy theory and practice, group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age specific growth and development, addictions issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management and aggressive behaviors and CPR training.
  • Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification
  • New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)
