Front End Engineer (Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services) We are seeking a Front End Engineer as part of our Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services career path to support a large federal agency's enterprise data modernization initiative focused on building and operating a secure, cloud-native data platform. This role is responsible for developing accessible, workflow-driven web applications that power customer intake, onboarding, and enterprise service delivery while integrating seamlessly with backend data services. The work builds the shared technology foundation that enables secure, scalable, and data-driven decision-making across the agency. This is a fully remote role. At Fearless, this Consultant collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable systems across all stages of the software and data lifecycle. This role is instrumental in delivering secure, efficient, and scalable solutions that directly impact the success of projects, teams, and organizational goals.This role will possess and/or develop the skillsto be able to span the domains of software development, data engineering, infrastructure automation, information assurance, and AI/ML integration at a practical application level of proficiency .This Consultant role will work on projects that allow them to contribute across the entire technology stack-software, infrastructure, data, AI, and security-to ensure quality, speed, and innovation in delivery. Your Responsibilities in this Role: * Develop user-facing web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript to support enterprise data platform workflows. * Build intake workflows that enable customer onboarding and platform service requests. * Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services to support platform functionality. * Implement accessible interfaces that comply with Section 508 standards and federal accessibility requirements. * Collaborate with UX designers, product teams, and stakeholders to translate user needs into accessible, intuitive customer experiences. * Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality, accessibility, and functional correctness. * Support release validation and defect tracking as part of continuous delivery practices. * Configure and develop customer intake workflows that support onboarding, request management, and platform service delivery. * Configure and customize enterprise CRM functionality to support customer onboarding and intake processes. Work Experience Project Skill and Experience Requirements * Minimum of 4 years of experience in frontend web development or related engineering roles. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. * Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance. * Proven experience building modern web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript. * Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and data services. * Demonstrated knowledge of web accessibility standards and Section 508 compliance. * Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for frontend applications. * Proven experience building modern web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. * Experience developing workflow-driven web applications or customer-facing portals that integrate with enterprise backend systems. Preferred Experience * Experience supporting federal government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments. * Experience configuring or extending ServiceNow or similar enterprise CRM/workflow platforms. * Experience developing customer intake, case management, or workflow-driven web applications. * Experience supporting enterprise data platforms or other cloud-native application modernization initiatives.
