Job Summary The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) within the Research & Innovation Office (RIO) seeks an Information Technology (IT) Specialist to support OCG through the effective use of automation and technology solutions. This position serves as the bridge between OCG staff and technology solutions. The incumbent will work closely with OCG staff, leadership, campus partners, and IT staff to find opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, create transparency, and increase operational efficiency. The position reports to the Associate Director, Organizational Effectiveness in OCG and RIO, and is part of the Organizational Effectiveness Team. The position will evaluate, implement, and maintain new technologies, including workflow tools, automation platforms, sponsored project management solutions, reporting dashboards, document management systems, and artificial intelligence-enabled tools. This position will also coordinate technology-related projects, helping define requirements, manage implementation timelines, document decisions, communicate progress to partners, identify risks, and support successful adoption of new tools and processes. The successful candidate will combine technical skills with strong customer service and business process analysis capabilities to help modernize OCG processes and improve the experience of faculty, staff, and campus partners. The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) is the University of Colorado Boulder's Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR) and is the Office of Record for the administration of sponsored projects for the CU Boulder campus. As the authorized representative, OCG submits proposals, and negotiates and accepts sponsored research and service agreements, non-disclosure agreements and material transfer agreements on behalf of the Board of Regents.
