Job Profile Summary:

As a Measurement Tech at Devon, you will play a key role in supporting field operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting gas measurement equipment across our production systems. This position ensures accurate measurement, reporting, and integrity of operational data by performing calibrations, meter testing, equipment installation, and diagnostics. You will work closely with field operations personnel to maintain reliable production measurement and support safe, efficient facility operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of gas measurement and control equipment.

  • Install gauge lines and piping to instruments, meters, and other gas measurement equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair production facility controls, sensors, communication devices, and safety systems.

  • Conduct Operational Readiness Assessments prior to commissioning production facilities.

  • Review electronic measurement data for accuracy and report discrepancies to Foremen and corporate production accounting.

  • Perform and witness joint meter tests with third-party gas companies.

  • Assist with installation of gas measurement and control equipment across field locations.

  • Maintain accurate work records, measurement files, and required operational reports.

  • Support district management and cross-functional teams on operational and measurement-related projects.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in the field.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of oil and gas measurement experience required.

  • Understanding of oil and gas production equipment and measurement systems.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions and Physical Demand:

Work is typically performed outdoors in field environments and may include exposure to extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold. This role requires the ability to operate company vehicles and equipment and perform physically demanding tasks including walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy equipment. Employees must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including flame-resistant clothing, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and safety footwear. All work must comply with OSHA regulations and Devon safety standards.

Travel Requirements:

  • Valid state-issued driver's license required with clean driving record.

  • Travel between field locations is required to perform daily tasks.

  • Must be available for shift work and callouts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
