DUTIES: 1. Interact with business stakeholders to understand their requirements for BI analysis, dashboards and data extracts/ETL for third party integrations. 2. Meet with team members and/or leaders who have requested reporting from the database. 3. Gather information such as time period, project and people demographics, metrics and limitations required for the report. 4. Share limitation of reporting and suggest alternatives to achieve desired results. 5. Discuss data aggregation and visualization required. 6. Design, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions. 7. Develop and maintain project health and profitability reporting in the BI tool insights. 8. Maintain all system integrations. One is the integration between Workday (ERP tool) and Kantata (PSA tool) which pulls revenue and expense data from the ERP system of accounting records into project records within the PSA tool. 9. Manage integration error logs and work with the domain support team to resolve these errors to ensure accurate reporting on project profitability. 10. Create and maintain reports using BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, GoodData). 11. Develop reporting in PowerBI and excel using data exported from company's professional services automation (PSA) tool. 12. Work on transitioning excel-based data quality reporting into PowerBI. 13. Develop and maintain metrics and reporting housed in Insights, a GoodData BI tool. 14. Accurately maintain a report of active project leads (PLs) used by the Knowledge Management team to ensure leads have access to delivery knowledge they need to have successful engagements. 15. Ensure production data quality and availability of delivered reports and ETL extracts; proactively respond to monitoring alerts and triage and fix issues to meet business SLAs. 16. Manage and report all data quality within our PSA tool. 17. Create and maintain all reporting (in PowerBI and excel) related to data quality management and tracking. 18. Proactively identify data quality issues and work directly with the domain support teams to resolve these issues. 19. Maintain the integrity of metrics, reporting, and customer invoicing. 20. Build and maintain project data quality reporting in PowerBI to identify data quality issues within PSA project custom fields. 21. Mange and develop all documentation and training for new and existing interfaces. 22. Update single point lessons on business processes related to PSA tool. 23. Document business processes related to system administrator use of interfaces, which will be included in an administrator playbook. 24. Create a job aid outlining the business process for staffing positions within PSA tool. 25. The accurate documentation and training on this process is crucial to the integrity of resource data within the system. 26. Provide ad hoc data pulls and analyses as requested by the business. 27. Provide ad hoc data exports and analyses from our PSA tool, such as consulting cost rate and bill rate comparisons, current and projected project hours and profitability reporting, and more. 28. These reports the use of VLOOKUPs, percentage change formulas, pivot tables, and more. 29. Utilize an active user download (.xls) to map in 2023 cost rates and compare the year-over-year change in fully loaded resource costs. 30. Share these data with the pricing team so they can ensure the accurate pricing of engagements for the company to remain profitable. 31. Perform bulk uploads into Kantata using the SUM Data Loader, maintaining a 99% accuracy rate. 32. Improve efficiency of the bulk upload process by automating task and project custom field templates using Power Query. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree in Business Analytics or directly related field of study, plus the following experience: 3 years of experience developing and maintaining reports and dashboards in Power BI/Tableau, including proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling best practices. 3 years experience in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis features. 3 years experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. 3 years experience translating business requirements into effective data models and reporting solutions, with familiarity with ETL processes and enterprise data environments. 3 years experience demonstrating application of data integrity and governance standards, including implementing or maintaining data validation rules, monitoring data quality metrics, and documenting data stewardship processes. 3 years experience diagnosing and resolving data or reporting issues independently, evidenced by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and reducing recurring errors or support tickets. 3 years experience clearly and effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, shown through delivering data insights or project updates to cross-functional teams, facilitating requirement-gathering sessions, or maintaining stakeholder satisfaction scores. 3 years experience administering or supporting Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms, such as configuring fields, workflows, or reports, with measurable contributions such as reducing manual reporting time, improving data adoption, or increasing reporting accuracy. Experience may be gained concurrently. Full-time, telecommute position. Must reside within the U.S. HQ at 433 W Van Buren Street, Suite 330, Chicago, IL 60607.
