Job Description:

Resolution Economics' Financial Advisory Services team is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Consultant I ("Consultant") position in its Chicago office. The Consultant I position is the entry-level position at Resolution Economics, and no prior work experience is required to apply.

As a Consultant in the FAS Practice, you will be part of a team providing clients with expert witness testimony in arbitrations and litigations, as well as fraud and forensic accounting services. These engagements often involve commercial and intellectual property disputes, antitrust disputes, bankruptcy and valuation disputes in a wide variety of industries including (but not limited to) technology, oil and gas, healthcare, and hospitality. You will have the opportunity to work with senior members of our staff, as well as academic affiliates at some of the best universities across the country.

Consultants typically assist with document review, research (including industry and market analysis), data analysis, financial analysis, and client interactions. While Consultants will regularly perform analytical and financial work, they will also be expected to develop a sense of the big picture for each engagement and to learn how to translate complex financial issues into clear, compelling narratives for expert reports and client presentations.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated and intellectually curious, with a positive attitude and an interest in developing expertise in forensic accounting, valuation, and litigation consulting. We are looking for individuals with a collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn. The FAS consulting environment can be unpredictable, so the Consultant should be able to handle multiple requests and accommodate tight deadlines confidently. For the right candidate, the position will be as rewarding as it is demanding. Consultants will quickly learn that they have the support of a team of intelligent and highly motivated individuals who have a genuine interest in their professional development and advancement to higher positions. The Consultant role offers a challenging and rewarding pathway for those seeking to grow into future leaders and experts in the field.

Consultants are paid an annual salary of between $97,300, and $103,000, subject to all required deductions and withholdings, and not including the value of benefits under any Resolution Economics-maintained benefit plan. The Consultant position is classified as exempt from overtime pay requirements under applicable Federal and State law.

Responsibilities of this position may include:
