Squadron Deficiency Report Manager - SME - TGAC LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL JOB STATUS: Full Time TRAVEL: 25% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Deficiency Report Manager at the SME level for the 96th Cyberspace Test Group contract, supporting the 45 Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Masters's degree in a STEM discipline (CS, EE, ME, etc.) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Additional years of qualifying experience may be substituted for education
- Must possess a Top Secret security clearance for consideration(U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Demonstrated experience serving as aSubject Matter Expert (SME)for enterprise software applications, databases, or information systems.
- Demonstrated experience managingsoftware deficiencies, defects, trouble reports, or problem reportsthrough identification, documentation, prioritization, tracking, resolution, verification, and closure.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications used bylarge, geographically distributed user populations.
- Experience developing and documentingsoftware/system requirements, acceptance criteria, test procedures, and functional processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint, including design, configuration, customization, administration, and maintenance of SharePoint sites.
- Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint lists, libraries, workflows, forms, permissions, and site structures.
- Experience designing SharePoint-based solutions to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience using SharePoint Designer to develop or maintain workflows, site functionality, and document-management processes.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Experience supporting theU.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, or other federal government organizations.
- Prior experience supportingAir Force mission planning systems or mission planning enterprises.
- Familiarity withMission Planning Central (MPC)and/or theMission Planning System Support Facility (MPSSF). Finish
- Experience working with Air Force networked applications and enterprise SharePoint environments.
- Familiarity with theEnterprise Deficiency Reporting (EDR)environment.
- Experience withNext Generation Open Mission Services (NOMS)and/orJOMS Open Mission Services (JOMS).
- Experience supporting software used inoperational aviation, weapons systems, mission planning, or other safety/mission-critical environments.
- Understanding of Air Force acquisition, sustainment, software development, testing, and configuration-management processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the Lead Deficiency Report (DR) Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Enterprise Deficiency Reporting (EDR) database developed on MS SharePoint, hosted on Mission Planning Central (MPC), and supported by the Mission Planning System Support Facility (MPSSF) Hill AFB, UT.
- Serves as the Alternate DR Manager and SME for Next Generation Open Mission Services/JMPS Open Mission Services (NOMS/JOMS) DRs managed within JIRA.
- Designs and tests the EDR database's user interfaces, setting and validating requirements to meet the needs of thousands of users.
- Conducts extensive functional testing of the EDR and MPC to ensure suitability, effectiveness, verify fixes, and uncover problems with the software and SQL Server database.
- Designs, builds, customizes, and maintains hundreds of testing web sites annually using MS SharePoint hosted on MPC to meet specific user needs.
- Manages Active Directory lists within MPC and on the AF SharePoint sites.
- Develops DR Management processes and training for the Mission Planning Enterprise.
- Works with the team to design and build the structure on JIRA and Confluence for the Test Organization as well as the DR Process for Legacy & NOMS/JOMS within JIRA.
- Manages the quality function for all flight work products including electronic reporting utilizing MS SharePoint.
- Designs, builds and maintains the document management system (structure and processes) using an AF SharePoint site and SharePoint Designer, including all supporting documentation and training.
- Maintains a Travel and Surge Approval System for all TMAS Contractors utilizing AFNet SharePoint to facilitate contractor and government leadership travel and surge request approvals.
- Continually analyzes flight processes to propose, design, develop, and implement innovative automated tools utilizing customized MS SharePoint sites, lists, and workflows.
- Oversees software Configuration Management and FMS DR Management.
- Travels to the MPSSF, Hill AFB, UT to attend DR Management Conferences.
