Position Title: Production
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday) Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! Production Responsibilities: - Sets up (assembles and disassembles), operates, adjusts, cleans, and sanitizes equipment to produce products within quality standards and according to procedures - Accurately measures and mixes raw materials following batch production recipes and formulations - Performs minimal maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as required, and when appropriate - Assists others in the areas trained as required by production demands or by direction of the Supervisor - Prints and applies labels to product - Verifies lot and batch numbers and maintains accurate production records and equipment logs - Assists in developing and improving SOPs - Follows all workplace safety protocols and ensure safe operation of equipment at all times - Maintains a clean and organized work area in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations - Participates in safety training and report any incidents or hazards immediately - Works closely with other operators, technicians, and supervisors to meet production deadlines - Participates in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles - Troubleshoots and/or identifies equipment failures or problems - Adheres to Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) requirements when working in environments with airborne contaminants or hazardous materials - Maintains required PAPR certification and ensure proper care and usage of all personal protective equipment (PPE) - Takes necessary samples for QC testing as needed - Completes necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and/or inventory records - Adheres to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, and Standardized Work procedures - Adheres to guidelines as set forth by religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal) Requirements for Production: - High School Diploma or GED with experience in a production environment preferred - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process, including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system - Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches - Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift, preferred - Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment - Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process - Basic computer skills.
