Position Title: General Laborer
Wage: $18.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm (Monday - Friday; Will Switch to 5:00am) Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a General Laborer at a company in Wausau, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! General Laborer Responsibilities: - Operate metal forming, stamping, bending, cutting, or fabrication equipment safely and efficiently - Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines - Inspect parts for quality, dimensions, and defects - Perform basic machine setup and adjustments as directed - Maintain production pace and follow work instructions - Keep machines and work areas clean and organized - Prepare customer orders for shipment - Package, label, band, and palletize finished products - Load and unload trucks safely and accurately - Verify incoming and outgoing materials against packing slips and work orders - Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely - Transport raw materials, tooling, and finished goods throughout the facility - Stack and store materials properly in designated locations - Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues - Assist multiple departments based on production needs - Fill in for absent employees or support bottleneck operations - Help with cleanup, maintenance, and general labor tasks - Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines Requirements for General Laborer: - High school diploma or GED preferred - Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred - Forklift experience or certification preferred - Ability to read basic work orders and shipping documents - Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery - Dependable attendance and strong work ethic - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift - Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, dust, and moving equipment - Ability to safely operate machinery and forklifts QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
