Position Summary

As a Material Handler you will be responsible to work in warehouses and production facilities to receive, stock, and delivery parts and supplies. This activity includes the stocking, pulling, packing, processing, and loading of customer orders both internal/external. A Material Support Specialist must be able to work long hours standing and bending, and strength and stamina to routinely pick up and move heavy objects. The Material Support Specialist is also responsible for the initiation and maintenance of standard work and other departmental procedures in order to achieve inventory integrity while also improving the Materials Group overall Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives. This is accomplished through the use of Lean tools in order to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation through the use of continuous improvement activities.

Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

What you will do as a Material Handler

Responsible for the daily shipment of Capital Equipment and Service sales orders. This responsibility includes pulling equipment from stock locations, packing for safe transit to the Customer, marking the packaging according to Customer request, and loading equipment on appropriate trailers for shipment to the Customer.
Responsible for processing packages for shipment using the Oracle/Ship Console systems.
Pick and count raw materials from warehouse to replenish production supermarkets, bins/carts or other designated areas on the manufacturing floor.
Responsible for the preparation for shipment of component parts routed to vendors for specific operations required in the manufacturing process.
Maintain inventory accuracy by aiding in cycle counts.
Operate equipment, such as forklift, electric and manual pallet jacks, and stretch wrapper for material handling and unloading/loading trucks.
Possess aptitude to learn, comprehend, and functionally operate inventory management systems.
Ability to safety lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

High School Diploma or GED

Other:

Forklift Certified
Oracle (Shipping) experience
AS400 experience

Pay range for this opportunity is$16.45-$21.29.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
