Position and Responsibilities
As a Project Accountant, you will collaborate with a team of project accountants to support the end-to-end project accounting process over the entire lifecycle of Middough's clients. The Project Accountant will handle the setup and maintenance of client accounts in Middough's accounting system in accordance with Middough's procedures to include corporate billing, reporting standards, and contract compliance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Adhere to the integrity and timeliness of information to meet both managerial and contractual requirements.
  • Thoroughly and accurately support the end-to-end project accounting process to setup and maintain client accounts in accordance with Middough policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Open, maintain, and close project files per specific client portfolio.
  • Process weekly client invoices based on specific requirements as outlined in client documents.
  • Research and resolve client and management requests for invoice statement information and/or explanations.
  • Perform various general accounting functions, input, processing, analysis, and reporting as assigned and required.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional working relationships with all internal business, technology, and corporate groups to facilitate successful invoicing processing and collection efforts.
  • Handle all confidential material and information per company policy.
  • Assist with accounting department audits as needed.
Education, Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 2+ years of Accounting experience highly desired.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable.
  • Able to communicate and develop strong business relationships with clients and with all levels of the organization effectively and professionally.
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan and multi-task.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • May require occasional car or air travel to other company locations or client sites.
  • This position requires the candidate/employee to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence and auto insurance coverage.
