The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (CEAE) at CU Boulder educates students to become leaders in the professional practice of engineering, contributing to technological advances that benefit humankind while enhancing the earth's physical and biological resources. The fields of civil, environmental and architectural engineering offer careers in planning, design, construction and management of the built environment as well as in the interaction between the built and natural environment. The Architectural Engineering program at the University of Colorado Boulder is a premier education and research interdisciplinary program in building systems engineering. In particular, the program covers a wide range of building technologies including construction materials, structural, mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems as well as advanced controls with a focus on integrated and innovative solutions for designing, constructing, and operating sustainable buildings and urban communities. • Successful candidates will be expected to engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring; develop an externally funded research program in their technical area; contribute professional leadership and service to their unit, the college, and their professional community; and cultivate and contribute to the inclusive excellence of our academic community.
• The typical distribution of work for this role is 40% teaching, 40% scholarly and creative work (research), and 20% leadership and service.

• The anticipated start date for this position is Fall 2027; however, a later start date may be negotiated.

• The anticipated academic year salary range for this position at the Assistant Professor rank is $115,000 - $128,000.
• A relocation stipend may be available within CEAS guidelines.
