Description Job Title: Material Handler Location: Sutton, MA Employment Type: Temp-to-hire Industry: Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 /hr. Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. - (1 ^st shift) 6am to 2:30pm // some SAT work About the Opportunity: The Material Handler is responsible for a variety of tasks, including picking and packaging product in an accurate & timely manner, loading and offloading trucks, using computer systems and reports to properly and accurately manage inventory, and maintaining a variety of records, files, and reports. This position requires agility and stamina, the use of Fork Trucks and various hand tools. Verifies, maintains, and prepares items and records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Moves parts within interior and exterior storage locations using a Fork Truck (requires certification). Unloads incoming material; prepares material for storage and movement into the machine shop. Visual inspection of parts and complete assemblies. Maintain a variety of records, files, and reports; maintain records of stock. Complete a variety of complicated tasks in a proper & timely manner with limited oversight. Follow all established policies, procedures, and directives issued by management. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential element of this job. Perform other related duties as assigned by Management. Job Requirements What You'll Bring: High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory. What Sets You Apart: Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments based upon experience and knowledge to accomplish goals promptly. Able to use Windows-based computer applications. Able to carry small handheld loads up and down a "staircase-type ladder' that requires walking down it backwards. Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, equipment, and hand tools associated with the shipping and warehousing of products. Ability to work independently or with others. Ability to work with minimal direction. Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment. Ability to multitask as needed. Capable of learning new processes and skills. Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check. Able to lift 40 lbs. in accordance with company policy.
