Temporary Research Technician

Candidate will be responsible for conducting microscopy, laboratory, and field research through the NC State Apiculture Program. This position will support several ongoing research projects, including but not limited to reproductive physiology of laying workers, and molecular analyses of bee diseases, and sampling from beehives. Candidate will be responsible for data collection, sample preparation, data entry, and coordination among other team members. The position will also entail some basic beekeeping support with the Apiculture Technician.

Work Schedule:
The normal work schedule will be five (5) days per week for eight (8) hours perday. Flexibility in schedule, however, is necessary for the position. Many research projects, forexample, necessitate longer hours for a given day or working on weekends.
