Position Title: Industrial Painter
Wage: $22.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Industrial Painter position available at a company in Allison, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Industrial Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Measure and mix paints using measurement equipment such as viscosity cups, thickness gauges, and gloss gauges. - Use knowledge of paint chemistry to ensure correct formulation and consistency for each job. - Apply paint using appropriate tools and techniques, including spray equipment, rollers, and brushes. - Work with primers, pre-finishes, and finishing coats to achieve the desired surface quality. - Use specialized protective equipment, such as self-contained suits, as required for hazardous materials. - Safely clean and maintain work areas after painting operations. - Follow all guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste. - Maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety standards. Industrial Painter Requirements: - Knowledge of paint chemistry and industrial coatings. - Experience using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes. - Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines. - Attention to detail and quality-conscious approach. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. - Use hands and arms to handle paint equipment and tools frequently. - Perform repetitive motions such as spraying, rolling, or brushing. - Lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds as needed. - Work in various positions including stooping, bending, and reaching. - Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
