TheCertified Medical Assistantin the Nephrology Clinic provides assistance in the examination and treatment of patients, under Physician/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner supervision, in the ambulatory service clinical setting. Duties include:chart review before patient clinical visit; assisting physician with procedures/treatments; equipment operation; assisting patients in preparation for examination/procedure; performs venipuncture; specimen collection and submission to appropriate laboratory; cleaning and sterilization of instrumentation; order and inventory supplies; records and documents in medical record; maintains examination/procedure room supplies; assists with efficient patient flow; assists with orientation of new staff; and participates in quality assurance programs. Shift: Full-time, Day Shift(40 hours) Monday-Friday Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED - AAMA, RMA, NRCMA, NCMA or CCMA certification required - AHA Healthcare Provider CPR Certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency required. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
