About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - Packing (Grandi Operator) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery - Packing (Grandi Operator), you will be accountable for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting the Grandi Vision System, case check weighing machines, and bag un-cuffing equipment to ensure continuous production flow, product accuracy, and minimal waste. This role plays a critical part in maintaining food safety, quality standards, operational efficiency, and effective communication across production teams.

• Shift: 3rd Shift
• Weekend availability: Required

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Operate and monitor the Grandi Vision System, check weighers, and bag un-cuffing equipment to ensure efficient production flow.
• Calibrate, inspect, and troubleshoot equipment to maintain product accuracy and operational reliability.
• Communicate production issues, alarms, and out-of-specification products to production, maintenance, sanitation, quality, and leadership teams.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality standards, and company policies.
• Support production efficiency by minimizing downtime, reducing waste, and ensuring proper equipment setup and changeovers.
• Train and assist team members while contributing to problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas while protecting company assets and equipment.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math and timekeeping skills.
• Ability to make logical decisions and resolve routine operational issues.
• Ability to work effectively in both team and independent work environments.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds and frequently carry more than 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive head, neck, and hand/wrist movements throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
• Experience operating automated packaging or inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of check weighers, vision systems, or similar production technology.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements.
• Experience training or mentoring production employees.
