Work Schedule	7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Monday - Friday with 'on-call' designation. Some weekend work required. Mandatory Employee This position is designated as 'mandatory' and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions.
Primary Purpose of Position	The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision of general cleaning responsibilities consistent with the standards set by Housing and Residence Life. This position will include area supervision for 2-3 residential complexes, up to 12 employees with additional temporary staff in summer, and training of staff on procedures and new products or equipment.
Minimum Education/Experience	Required Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, and one (1) year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Note: Some state job postings state you can qualify by an 'equivalent combination of education and experience.' If that language appears above, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
Essential Job Duties	The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision of Building Environmental Technicians' general cleaning responsibilities, consistent with the standards set by Housing and Residence Life. This position will include area supervision for 2-3 residential complexes, up to 8 employees, with additional temporary staff in the summer, and training staff on procedures and new products and equipment.
Other Work Responsibilities
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education	Experience professionally cleaning in a commercial or residential setting, such as a school, college, university, or hotel. Able to demonstrate cleaning skills. Able to work autonomously. Able to follow instructions. Able to lead team members and create a positive working environment. Able to effectively use technology.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications	Where applicable, must be eligible for required certification.
