Primary Responsibilities of the Transportation Driver:
- Operates campus transportation vehicles and related equipment safely and efficiently, following established operating procedures
- Conducts pre-trip inspections and monitors vehicle performance,
- Promptly reports maintenance and safety concerns, delays, incidents, and vehicle issues
- Provides courteous, professional, and responsive customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other passengers
- Assists with transportation needs and provides route information
- Answers questions and addresses concerns in a respectful manner
- Communicates clearly and professionally with passengers, dispatchers, supervisors, and campus personnel to provide accurate information
- Coordinates transportation services
- Carefully follows assigned routes and schedules and monitors passenger safety
- Accurately completes required transportation records and reports
