Posting Summary
The Human Resources Office at Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Staff Associate to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for human resources, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong commitment to fostering a positive work environment. The HR Staff Associate will report to the Assistant Director in Human Resources at Rutgers University-Camden and is responsible for providing front-line service to university employees and the public, processing a variety of time-sensitive documents related to employee onboarding, resolving or referring a variety of routine to complex human resource issues, compiling reports, procedures, maintaining logs, and assisting in department projects and initiatives. The HR Staff Associate will assist with ongoing employee recognition programs and other events as required.
Additionally, the HR Staff Associate will provide direct administrative support to the Rutgers University-Camden HR Office in the daily operations of the HR function including but not limited to scheduling, file management, procurement functions and routine budget management. The incumbent in this position will maintain positive relationships with internal campus partners as they are expected to work closely with multiple units on a regular basis to ensure the smooth operations of the Camden HR function. The HR Staff Associate may also frequently act as a liaison with the University Human Resources and the OneSource Faculty & Staff Service Center to resolve employee issues and concerns.
As a member of the Rutgers Camden HR Team, the incumbent in this position will be expected to operate in a highly-sensitive environment and to maintain high levels of customer and client services, with professionalism and confidentiality.

Salary Details Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in human resources, business administration or related. Must be able to multi-task, field inquires on the fly and respond to all with a professional demeanor. This position has access to confidential material and must treat as such.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Office administration (typing, data input, phone calls, email exchanges) must all be done in a positive and professional manner at all times. Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple and varied tasks in a fast-paced, service-focused setting; professional demeanor, courtesy, discretion, sound judgment, and reliability are essential in the performance of this position; requires effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including knowledge of proper business writing style and format; strong word processing and computer skills in Windows to include Microsoft Office applications are necessary. Must be able to efficiently navigate through web and PC-based applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference for candidates with an HR operations background with at least two years of experience in a human resources or higher education setting. Experience with E-Verify and HRIS systems is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Occasional travel to Rutgers University-New Brunswick or Rutgers University-Newark campuses may be required.
