Field Service Representative needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Location of Performance and Travel:

Location for FSR "home base" location will be Fort Bragg, NC.

The FSR will be required to travel to other locations to perform duties, training or other exercise support as outlined below:


  • 1 one-week CONUS trip per Quarter (4 trips per year); 2 travel days, 5 days on site support. CONUS travel examples to include FT Bliss, TX, Salt Lake City, UT, and Birmingham, AL.

  • 2 one-week OCONUS trips per year, per location (i.e. Okinawa and Germany); 2 travel days, 5 on-site support.

  • Additionally, one (1) one-week trip per year is required for refresher training: 2 travel days, 4 days on site


Responsibilities:

The FSR shall serve as in-house SME on Communications Systems products and systems. The FSR shall coordinate, support, and conduct technical activities (involving OEM products and systems) as required by end users. This technical support can include, but is not limited to, the following:


  • Operations Training (example radio systems: AN/PRC-161 (Link16), AN/PRC-165 (nano SVDL), AN/PRC-152A, AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-158, AN/PRC-163 and AN/PRC-167)
  • Description of equipment and components
  • Capabilities to include any environmental anomalies
  • Operation of the system to include:
  • Built in Test (BIT)
  • Optimum set-up configuration
  • Special antenna use
  • Tuning sequence
  • Use of PC software program to load the radio/mission module
  • Use of special BIT codes
  • Recharging the batteries, operation of the power adapter/interface units/battery chargers
  • Trouble Shooting and corrective maintenance to include:
  • Mission Module operation
  • Assist with development of tactical systems architectures
  • Assist with development of programs of instructions (POI) and course curriculum.
  • Assist with development of tactical systems architectures, including ground, air, maritime, and dismount. Facilitate COP, extension of services, connection to SIE/SIPR, network operations (Net Ops), PLI/BFT/SA, ISR, voice, data, Line-of-Sight, SATCOM, etc.
  • Assist with the development of C4 standard operating procedures (SOP), and new conops and mission use cases that can be achieved through advanced new capabilities in Harris products and systems.
  • Support for basic Maintenance: Software upgrades, COMSEC initialization, HUB replacement, etc.
  • Participate in conference calls with other FSRs working on this program, as required.
  • Submit weekly status reports (WAR) to Program Manager and Lead FSR.
  • Communicate issues and concerns to Program Manager, as required.
  • Must be willing to travel to customers sites frequently.

Additionally, the following certifications are preferred:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+ and/or Security+
  • Cisco CCENT, CCT, CCNA, and/or CCDA
