Equipment Operator

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus; training and evaluation may be required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment required.
• Experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or shipping environment preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners, inventory systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Ability to accurately handle inventory, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers/order pickers, and electric pallet jacks.
• Experience preparing domestic and international shipments.
• Basic math, inventory, and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience assisting with cycle counts, inventory control, and warehouse operations.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to climb on and off material handling equipment safely.

Job Duties

• Operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers/order pickers, and electric pallet jacks.
• Load, unload, move, stage, and store materials throughout the warehouse.
• Pick, replenish, and verify inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Prepare, pack, and process orders for domestic and international shipment.
• Verify product quantities, labels, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Transport materials safely between warehouse locations.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with inventory counts, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and warehouse procedures.
• Work closely with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Operations teams to meet daily productivity goals.
