Description

What You'll Do:



  • Responsible for the accurate completion of documentation,
  • Performs housekeeping, material stocking, and ingot identification,
  • Maintains cleanliness of stripping pit, dumping pit, furnaces and ingot storage area,
  • Performs stripping of molds from ingot in accordance with manufacturing instructions,
  • Loads/unloads annealing furnace and hot boxes as required,
  • Verifies ingot number, size, and customer grade specifications,
  • Oversees and/or performs accurate mold set up for nightly production, bricking, runner bar cutting, or other tasks as required,
  • Determines, performs, and coordinates ingot annealing cycles to facilitate shipments,
  • Coordinates shift work assignments,
  • Assists maintenance during breakdowns, and Performs other duties, assignments and projects as deemed necessary.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb and bend. The team member is regularly required to use hand and fingers to handle objects and controls and reach with arms and hands, must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in extreme weather, is frequently exposed to airborne particles and occasionally exposed to fumes. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.

What You'll Need:

Education: Minimum High school graduate or equivalent G.E.D.

Experience: 1-2 years operating an overhead crane preferred, 1-2 years experience operating heavy equipment is required.
