Quality Manager The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the company's Quality Management System and ensuring products and processes meet AS9100, customer, regulatory, and government contract requirements. This role oversees quality assurance, audits, corrective actions, supplier quality, inspection, and continuous improvement. Who are we? Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. Job Summary
- Manage
and continuously improve the Quality Management System. - Ensure
compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements, FAR/DFARS, and applicable government contract requirements. - Lead
internal, customer, registrar, and government audits. - Manage
nonconformances, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and quality escapes. - Oversee
incoming, in-process, and final inspection. - Monitor
supplier quality and corrective actions. - Serve
as the primary quality contact for customers and government representatives. - Track
quality metrics, including defects, scrap, rework, customer complaints, and corrective actions. - Lead
and develop Quality personnel. - Partner
with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management to resolve quality issues. - Maintain
quality records, traceability, and compliance documentation. - Promote
a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor's
degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+
years of quality experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing. - Strong
knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Experience
with audits, corrective action, nonconformance management, and root-cause analysis.
- Government
contracting experience and knowledge of FAR/DFARS preferred.
- Experience
working with aerospace customers and/or government contractors preferred.
