Professional Services Group (PSG) is a community-based social services organization seeking a compassionate and dedicated Placement Specialist to join our Placement Referral Unit (PRU).

The Placement Referral Unit works collaboratively with the Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services to identify appropriate placement settings for children involved in the child welfare system who require out-of-home care. As a Placement Specialist, you will review information related to each child and their family, conduct research to identify potential placements with relatives or other supportive connections, and help coordinate timely placements for children who may require higher levels of care.

KEY RESPONSONSIBILITIES:



  • Conduct background and family-finding searches for relatives and non-relative connections
  • Update and maintain client databases on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with County and State programs, community partners, and other agencies
  • Accurately document case activities and placement efforts
  • Complete client intake calls and gather necessary information


LOCATION:

West Allis, WI

This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with the opportunity to work remotely up to 50% of the time once fully trained.

SCHEDULE:

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM-9:00 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

This position also participates in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule. On-call coverage is assigned for one full week, Sunday through Saturday, and includes:



  • Weeknights: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Weekends: 24-hour on-call coverage


The on-call rotation occurs approximately once every six weeks.

SALARY:

$21.27 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field preferred
  • One year of experience in Child Welfare preferred
