Job Title: Brand Communications Manager

Reports to: Corporate Marketing

Location: Remote (Ohio Preferred)

Position Summary:

The Brand Communications Manager is a newly created role within OTC Industrial Technologies' Corporate Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role leads the development and activation of OTC's enterprise brand and communications strategy across internal and external audiences.

This role works closely with executive leadership, business segment teams, Human Resources, and external partners to ensure a clear, consistent OTC voice. The Brand Communications Manager will strengthen corporate identity, elevate executive and thought-leadership communications, build employee engagement, protect OTC's reputation, and support recruiting marketing initiatives.

What You'll Do



  • Lead OTC's enterprise brand strategy and corporate identity, ensuring a consistent visual and verbal expression across channels, business segments, and customer touchpoints.
  • Maintain and evolve OTC's brand architecture, messaging frameworks, brand standards, and identity systems; guide internal teams and partners in their effective use.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop clear, compelling communications, including presentations, announcements, key messages, leadership narratives, and strategic updates.
  • Build and manage OTC's thought-leadership agenda, translating executive and subject-matter expertise into articles, bylines, social content, presentations, and other high-value content.
  • Develop internal communications plans that connect employees to OTC's strategy, culture, priorities, and major business changes.
  • Lead corporate public relations and media-relations activities, including company announcements, media pitches, press releases, and agency coordination.
  • Support reputation management by monitoring issues and sentiment, preparing response narratives, and coordinating communications with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Human Resources to strengthen employer brand and recruiting marketing through careers-site content, employee stories, recruiting campaigns, and social communications.
  • Create integrated corporate communications plans that align brand, content, digital, events, and segment-marketing activities around priority initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business segment marketing teams to ensure their communications reinforce OTC's enterprise brand while reflecting their market and customer needs.
  • Establish communication and brand-performance measures; report results and recommend opportunities to improve message clarity, engagement, reach, and reputation.


What You Need



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in brand management, corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing and governing brand identity systems, messaging frameworks, and communication standards across complex organizations.
  • Experience supporting B2B, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, technical, or other complex commercial businesses preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and shape executive-level communications, thought-leadership content, corporate narratives, and presentations.
  • Experience leading internal communications, public relations, media relations, employer-brand, or reputation-management programs.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and best use of judgment when utilizing AI.
  • Strong project-management and agency-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and accountable mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority and turn strategy into meaningful engagement.
