The Opportunity The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is seeking an innovative and student-centered Assistant Director of Engaged, Experiential, and Entrepreneurial (E3) Career Development to design and lead career development and experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for success in a global workforce. This position will oversee and expand opportunities including study abroad, study away, CALS Global Fellows, and other domestic and international experiential learning programs. The Assistant Director will collaborate with faculty and staff across CALS to develop new programs, support students participating in E3 opportunities, and connect experiential learning to career readiness. Key Responsibilities:
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) Contract College position based in Ithaca, NY. This position follows a 4:1 campus-to-home hybrid work arrangement. This hybrid work arrangement is subject to change at any time. Work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am-3:30pm on Fridays, with one evening teaching commitment during the fall and spring semesters for seven weeks each semester. About the Office of Student Services The Office of Student Services collaborates with CALS students to help define and navigate their undergraduate journey, offering a centralized hub of resources that unlock transformative opportunities aligned with their academic goals. Students receive comprehensive guidance and support across various areas, including academic advising, resource navigation, degree tracking, career planning, experiential learning (such as research, internships, and international programs), skill development, graduate school preparation, and job search strategies.
