Sr. Analyst, Pricing / Finance

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Role reports to Pricing Leadership and supports pricing, underwriting, risk management, and healthcare analytics initiatives.
  2. Develops, maintains, and enhances pricing models used to evaluate healthcare and insurance products, renewal opportunities, and portfolio performance.
  3. Performs analysis of claims experience, utilization trends, demographic changes, enrollment patterns, and financial performance to support pricing recommendations and business decisions.
  4. Evaluates pricing assumptions and identifies profitability improvement opportunities.
  5. Assists in underwriting reviews and risk assessment activities.
  6. Develops recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  7. Conducts financial modeling, trend analysis, and risk assessments.
  8. Utilizes advanced Excel and analytical tools to transform data into insights.
  9. Partners with Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams.
  10. Supports process improvement and automation initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Senior level: 4-5+ years experience in healthcare analytics, pricing, underwriting, risk management, financial analysis, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Experience working with large datasets and communicating findings.
  • Knowledge of healthcare economics, claims analytics, and risk assessment preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or similar tools preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $60k-$80k. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
