Position Title: Buyer - Temporary
Wage: $28.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Temporary Buyer on behalf of its client in Spring, TX. This position will provide immediate support to the Purchasing Department by processing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining accurate purchasing records within NetSuite. The ideal candidate will have prior purchasing experience, strong organizational skills, and experience working with ERP systems. Buyer Responsibilities: - Create and process purchase orders based on production requirements and departmental requests - Obtain quotes from suppliers and compare pricing, availability, and lead times - Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and expedited shipments - Resolve purchasing discrepancies and follow up on overdue orders - Maintain accurate purchasing, receiving, and supplier records within NetSuite - Enter receipts of goods and review invoice documentation against purchase orders - Monitor inventory levels of key materials and communicate replenishment needs - Assist with supplier performance tracking and reporting - Support the Purchasing team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed Requirements for Buyer: - High school diploma or equivalent required - 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience - Experience using NetSuite or a similar ERP system required - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and problem-solving abilities - Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred - Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and receiving processes is a plus - Experience working with suppliers and negotiating pricing and delivery schedules preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
