The IT SPECIALIST will provide support, maintenance, troubleshooting and improvements to the organization's total infrastructure, including computer systems, networks, servers, software and helpdesk functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Provides helpdesk support as the primary escalation point for helpdesk and provides execution support to the systems administrator as directed by the IT Manager. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to: Assists with the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of security standards such as CMMC, NIST across the entirety of the company's infrastructure. Assists with the research, development and implementation of standards and procedures across all company infrastructure such as network, security, servers, end points, services as well as productivity and collaboration software and tools. Works with the Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day support and maintenance of the company's infrastructure, including network components, security, servers, cabling, SQL databases, document management systems, ERP systems, information technology tools, endpoints, M365 cloud and more. Provides support and hands-on assistance to staff, resolving hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, permissions, authentication, including helpdesk support and end-user training. Utilizes the company's helpdesk systems for logging and documentation of all helpdesk tickets, projects, tasks and change management. Participates in operations and maintenance of managing day-to-day operations of network file systems, end point security monitoring and remediation. Maintain networks and network file systems, including monitoring of LAN and endpoints for threats or errors. Assists in maintaining and managing systems such as Windows OS, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, mobile devices, desktops, software and hardware across the infrastructure. Contributor for creating and maintaining all pertinent companywide documentation in accordance with best practices and requirements such as CMMC. Participates in maintaining and administering existing building access, paging and AV systems. Provides IT support for Production systems (ovens, wet line monitoring, shop floor data collection, CMM systems, production floor specialty software and systems). Serves as the escalation point for technical support issues from all staff and help desk technicians. Work collaboratively with teams to improve processes and procedures. Required to perform duties as needed outside of standard business hours and participate in on-call rotations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Associate or bachelor's degree in an IT related field or two years of experience in IT is required. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong communication skills.
