Linen Distributor (Per Diem)

Join UCLA Health and play an essential role in supporting patient care by ensuring critical linen, medical supplies, and equipment are available where and when they are needed. As a Linen Distributor, you will help maintain efficient inventory operations across multiple UCLA Health facilities while working closely with clinical teams to support daily patient care activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order, receive, distribute, and deliver linen, supplies, and equipment in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain inventory rooms, linen storage areas, and supply locations throughout UCLA Health facilities.
  • Pick, pack, and fulfill supply orders while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and perform precise data entry to support inventory control and replenishment activities.
  • Reconcile packing slips, purchase orders, and delivered items to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Collaborate with nursing, procedural, interventional, radiology, and clinic staff to identify supply needs and optimize inventory availability.
  • Set up and maintain products within inventory management software and handheld replenishment systems.
  • Monitor and replenish inventory to established PAR levels and adjust stock quantities to meet changing clinical demands.
  • Assist with inventory optimization initiatives and recommend opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and minimize waste.
  • Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following departmental and UCLA Health standards.
Pay Rate: $27.96
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English. This person must be enthusiastic, thrive in a team environment and confident to share their ideas for efficiencies and improvement. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, comfortable with entering data on handhelds or computers and eager to learn. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. This person should be disciplined, and conscientious enough to adhere to strict deadlines and protocols without continuous monitoring. Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks including pushing/pulling heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds. Must be able to lift/carry and transport supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Inventory management experience in a hospital or clinic and electronic ordering using a handheld is preferred.
