ABOUT HALLMARK'S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM We need sharp, energetic people to help us create, engineer, market, and deliver our products worldwide. Hallmark offers summer internships for students pursuing degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Communications, Engineering, Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science and more! Hallmark's internship program is held annually,startinglate May and ending in early August, andprovidesthe valuable opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to meaningful projects in a corporate environment. In addition, you will gain exposure to Hallmark leadership, learn more about our products and initiatives, connect with employees and interns from other disciplines, and for hybrid or on-site internships, enjoy what life is like in the Kansas City metro area. INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW Hallmark's Marketing and Business Interns are typically students pursuing degrees in marketing, business administration, communications, analytics, consumer insights, economics, public relations, or related fields. As a Hallmark intern, you will work on meaningful projects tied to real business needs and priorities. You will leverage research, consumer insights, strategic thinking, and analytical skills to help solve business challenges, identify opportunities for growth, and influence marketing decisions. As a Hallmark intern, you will gain exposure to senior leaders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in learning, development, and networking opportunities throughout the summer. We have 2027 Marketing and Business internship opportunities with the following teams: Consumer Analytics Intern: As an Intern on the Consumer Analytics team, you will leverage data, consumer insights, and business analysis to help improve Hallmark's marketing, loyalty, and consumer engagement initiatives. This role will include analyzing consumer and marketing performance data, identifying trends and opportunities, conducting research and benchmarking, developing dashboards and reporting tools, and translating findings into actionable business recommendations. You will partner with marketing, loyalty, consumer insights, and digital teams to support strategic decision making and present your findings to business leaders at the conclusion of the internship. Digital Product Management Intern (Returns Optimization) As an Intern on the Digital Experience & Product team, you will help identify opportunities to improve Hallmark's end-to-end returns experience. This project will focus on understanding consumer and business pain points throughout the returns journey, evaluating current processes and capabilities, and recommending enhancements that improve both customer experience and operational efficiency. You will partner with Product Management, Supply Chain, Care, Technology, Analytics, and business stakeholders to assess return workflows, identify capability gaps, and develop recommendations for future improvements. The internship will include consumer journey mapping, stakeholder interviews, process analysis, data review, and strategic roadmap development. You will evaluate opportunities related to self-service returns, consumer communications, reporting, fraud prevention, fulfillment processes, and support for future growth across Hallmark.com, external selling channels, and Vendor Drop Ship products. The project will culminate in a presentation of findings and recommendations to business leaders Integrated Marketing Intern: As an Intern on the Integrated Marketing team, you will help support strategic marketing initiatives across key Hallmark business priorities. This role will focus on integrated marketing planning, stakeholder collaboration, consumer engagement, and channel strategy. The internship will include research, cross-functional partnership, development of planning resources and toolkits, and strategic recommendations that help connect business objectives, consumer insights, and marketing execution. You will gain exposure to enterprise-level marketing strategy while working across multiple business areas. Marketing Strategy Intern (Consumer Promotions): As an Intern on the Marketing Strategy team, you will evaluate Hallmark's promotional strategy across Gold Crown, Hallmark.com, and retail channels with a focus on Greetings. This internship will include consumer research, competitive analysis, promotional benchmarking, and developing recommendations that help optimize promotional offers, campaign effectiveness, and consumer engagement. The project will also provide an opportunity to explore promotional preferences and purchase behaviors among younger consumers, including Gen Z audiences. Merchant Intern, Everyday Gift Presentation & Greetings: As a Merchant Intern, you will lead a competitive intelligence project focused on Hallmark's Everyday Gift Presentation and Everyday Greetings businesses. This role will include in-store and digital market research, category analysis, product evaluation, pricing comparisons, competitive benchmarking, and the development of actionable business recommendations. You will collaborate with Merchant, Creative, Consumer Insights, Packaging, and Digital teams to identify opportunities that can inform future product development, merchandising, pricing, sourcing, and retail strategies. Merchant Intern, Keepsake Ornaments: As a Merchant Intern supporting the Keepsake Ornaments business, you will explore how Hallmark can attract and engage the next generation of ornament consumers while continuing to strengthen relationships with loyal collectors. This project will focus on consumer research, market analysis, product evaluation, marketing strategy, and identifying opportunities to increase awareness and engagement with the Keepsake brand, Gold Crown Stores, and the Keepsake Ornament Club. You will develop strategic recommendations designed to drive future growth, consumer acquisition, and long-term brand relevance. Social Media Marketing Intern: As an Intern on the Social Media Marketing team, you will support Hallmark's social media strategy and help shape a more connected One Hallmark consumer experience. This project will involve evaluating Hallmark's social media ecosystem, conducting competitive benchmarking, auditing channels, and developing recommendations related to channel governance, optimization, and consumer engagement. You will leverage research and analytics to identify opportunities to strengthen Hallmark's social presence and improve consumer experience across platforms.
