Your Role The Clinical Team Lead, School-Based, carries the same direct-service role and functions as a Mental Health Professional, School-Based - providing assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention to support students' emotional and psychological well-being - while also providing clinical supervision and oversight for a team of up to four School-Based Mental Health Professionals. This position requires collaboration with educators, families, and community resources to develop and implement individualized support plans, while also ensuring that the school-based clinical team delivers consistent, high-quality, and ethically sound mental health services. The Clinical Team Lead helps build staff clinical skill and confidence through supervision and case consultation, while contributing to a safe and inclusive school climate through direct services and mental health education and prevention programming. Ultimately, this position aims to foster resilience and healthy development in students, and to support the professional growth of the school-based clinical team, enabling both students and staff to thrive. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The required skills enable the Clinical Team Lead to effectively assess and address the complex mental health needs of students while also guiding and strengthening the clinical practice of the school-based team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with educators, families, community partners, and supervised staff to create comprehensive support systems. The ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques and clinical supervision practices ensures that interventions and staff development are both effective and appropriate for the school setting. Skills such as trauma-informed care and cultural responsiveness enhance the Team Lead's capacity to serve diverse student populations and to model these practices for supervised staff. Additionally, leadership, organizational, and program development skills are utilized to coordinate team caseloads, support staff growth, and implement mental health education initiatives that promote a positive school climate.
