Pottsville Civil Group Manager At Benesch, we're shaping the infrastructure that supports growing communities across Pennsylvania. We're seeking an experiencedCivil Group Managerto lead and expand our Pottsville Civil Design practice. This is more than a leadership role - it's an opportunity tohelp expand civil practice in PA, influence strategic growth, strengthen client partnerships, and develop technical capabilities and high-performing teamswhile delivering impactful projects for municipalities, local agencies, and DOTs. Location This full-time role is based in our Pottsville office, with in-office collaboration expected at least three days per week. Collaboration and Coordination with the PA Division's four other offices and group managers is expected. The Opportunity to Build and Lead As Group Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our Pottsville Civil design practice while helping shape divisional and regional growth. Key Projects Leading the Way in Pennsylvania Our Pennsylvania Division is proud to lead high-impact projects that demonstrate the depth and diversity of our expertise: Freeway and Major Arterial projects Local road and street improvement projects Alternative Delivery projects Roundabout and Safety Improvement projects Municipal Engineering Land Development Stormwater, Erosion Control and associated permitting Survey and Right of way work and plan development Environmental group and project support Structure support Railway support Impact you will have They provide direction regarding daily operations within the group, implement plans and policies to achieve overall objectives, and ensure compliance with our mission and vision. Monitors their group for compliance with financial objectives, including chargeability, net revenue, profit and overhead, and project performance. Coordinates workloads in Pottsville office and facilitates inter office and cross-division work-sharing when appropriate. Identifies staffing needs and leads recruitment efforts with the assistance of the Talent Acquisition team. Develops and executes a strategy to attract, hire, develop, and retain diverse candidates. Initiates or maintains relationships with prospective and existing clients as a trusted advisor who liaises between clients and the business and maintains an extensive and well-established network of contacts in the sectors the company serves. Researches, reviews, and recommends new market areas to achieve both geographic and discipline diversification. Facilitate and strengthen interoffice coordination with other Group Managers and Project Mangers throughout PA. Required Qualifications Professional Engineer licensure in Pennsylvania Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline Progressive civil engineering experience and leading teams and groups Significant experience leading civil design projects for public and/or private sector clients Demonstrated success developing client relationships and winning new work Strong understanding of Pennsylvania regulatory agencies and permitting processes Expertise in project financial management, budgeting, QA/QC, and resource planning Experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams Strong communication, organization, people management skills, business development skills, and leadership skills with a track record of understanding and adhering to contractual requirements Participate in local civic and professional organizations such as, ASHE, ACEC, and APC and similar professional organizations to promote the Company Why Benesch It's simple.
