HVAC &
Instrumentation/Electrical (I&E) Technician
Wage $70,000 - $80,000 Annually
The HVAC & I&E Technician is responsible for
the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of HVAC
systems, process instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems
throughout the facility. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient
plant operations by ensuring critical equipment, automation systems, and
environmental controls operate within established parameters. The technician
works closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to maintain
regulatory compliance, system reliability, and continuous improvement
initiatives.
Essential Function
HVAC Systems
Install, maintain,
troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment,
including:
Air handlers
Rooftop units
Chillers
Split systems
Exhaust and
ventilation systems
Environmental
control units
Perform preventive
and predictive maintenance activities on HVAC equipment.
Diagnose
mechanical, electrical, and controls-related HVAC issues.
Monitor and
optimize HVAC performance to improve energy efficiency and reliability.
Maintain
temperature, humidity, and ventilation systems for process and personnel
comfort requirements.
Instrumentation and Controls
Install,
calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process instrumentation including:
Pressure
transmitters
Temperature
transmitters
Flow meters
Level instruments
Analytical
equipment
Troubleshoot PLC
and process control systems.
Configure and
maintain instrumentation communication networks.
Verify instrument
accuracy and perform loop checks.
Analyze equipment
failures and recommend corrective actions.
Electrical Systems
Troubleshoot and
repair industrial electrical systems up to facility voltage
requirements.
Read and interpret
electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment
manuals.
Perform preventive
maintenance on electrical assets.
General Maintenance
Perform routine
inspections and document findings.
Complete work
orders and maintenance records utilizing a computerized maintenance
management system (CMMS).
Support equipment
startups, shutdowns, and plant turnarounds.
Participate in
root cause failure analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.
Assist with
capital projects, equipment upgrades, and system modifications.
Maintain
housekeeping and organization of work areas.
Safety Responsibilities
Follow all company
safety policies, procedures, and permit requirements.
Adhere to OSHA
regulations, NFPA standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and confined space
requirements.
Utilize proper
personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in
safety meetings, audits, and training programs.
Report unsafe
conditions and corrective actions promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree Technical degree
or certification in HVAC, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation,
Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
7-9
years Minimum of 10
years of industrial maintenance experience in HVAC, instrumentation,
electrical systems, or a combination thereof.
