Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Tech

* Provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments

* Support development, routing, and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products

* Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for BOM structures and assigns labor hours to MES

* Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMS, drawings, and routings

* Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and makes recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers

* Provide guidance for preventive maintenance and general repair on equipment or machinery

* Provides specialized training to production employees and technical direction to production trainer

* Assists in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing

* Report out metrics and KPIs

* Participate in Lean initiatives and engage with Six Sigma tools for process improvements

* Interact with internal departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc...

Required skills / knowledge

* Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

* 3+ years related experience or training in manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization

* Ability to read Engineering drawings and other technical documentation

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions and decimals.

* Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

* Able to be a team player

* Strong working knowledge of computers, equipment, and procedures.

Preferred skills

* MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

* Oracle

* Lean experience
