Build Up Team Member

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow shipping, receiving, and cargo handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of receiving, warehouse, shipping, logistics, or material handling experience required.
• Experience working with large, heavy, or oversized freight preferred.
• Experience loading, securing, wrapping, or preparing cargo for transportation is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with freight handling, pallet building, cargo securement, or warehouse operations.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to handle, position, secure, and prepare cargo for shipment.

Job Duties

• Build and prepare cargo shipments into airline-approved Built-Up Pallets (BUPs) for air freight transportation.
• Assist with securing freight to pallets using protective materials and airline-required cargo securement methods.
• Cover pallets with water-resistant tarps to protect shipments during transport.
• Install corner boards, wrapping materials, and cargo netting to ensure loads meet airline acceptance standards.
• Inspect freight and palletized shipments for quality, stability, and compliance requirements.
• Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and freight within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate cargo preparation standards while meeting productivity goals.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and cargo handling guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform additional warehouse, receiving, and freight handling duties as assigned.
