Welder

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding trade school, technical training, apprenticeship, or formal welding certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required welding certifications and qualifications.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to perform MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding processes while meeting quality and production standards.
• Experience reading blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Familiarity with measuring tools, gauges, inspection equipment, and fabrication practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience troubleshooting welding, fit-up, equipment, and production issues.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle raw materials, components, and finished products safely.
• Manual dexterity required to operate welding equipment, grinders, measuring tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE and following safety procedures.

Job Duties

• Perform welding and fabrication work according to welding procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to accurately complete assigned projects.
• Prepare, fit, align, and position materials and components for welding operations.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and related fabrication equipment.
• Perform grinding, gouging, finishing, and cleanup work to meet customer and quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated products for dimensional accuracy, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot welding, equipment, and production issues while supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
• Maintain production, inspection, and certification records accurately.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules, quality goals, and operational objectives.
