Income Tax Manager

The Manager, Income Tax will support the income tax team to ensure complete and accurate preparation and timely filing of the federal returns, including a consolidated filing, state returns and other tax related tasks.

Primary Objectives

• Review federal and state corporate income/franchise tax returns, including consolidated/unitary returns.
• Review foreign income tax returns (1120F, 5471, 5472)
• Reconcile annual apportionment
• Maintain and update as needed the planning model and computations for payment of tax estimates and extensions
• Support research of tax compliance and planning matters
• Assist with M&A activities and due diligence support
• Assist with income tax audits
• Assist with preparation of quarterly tax provision for current and deferred income taxes
• Prepare income tax inter-company billings
• Provide tax guidance/support to internal business units
• Responsible for special projects as necessary
• Continuously improve department functionality, internal controls and efficiency
• Mentor and develop corporate tax staff.
• Assist with Indirect tax tasks as needed. Familiarity with Sales/Use and Property tax a plus.

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA or MS in Taxation highly desired
• 5+ years of corporate income tax experience - of which 3 + years in public accounting desired
• Proficient in MS Office and Tax Software Applications (Corptax, BNA), SAP experience a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem solving ability, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate initiative, teamwork and technical tax expertise
• Ability to manage process flow, multiple projects, and meet deadlines within strict time parameters
• Ability to organize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work as an individual and in a team oriented environment with a high level of integrity and professionalism
• Experience working in a hybrid location environment
• Display mentoring and training capabilities and the ability to develop personnel
