As the Financial Fiduciary, you will be protecting vulnerable adults from financial fraud and use your skills in taxes and accounting for the greater good. You will work closely with the assigned field fiduciaries regarding the finances, assets, and taxes of Wards, Protected Persons, and Estates.

**Pre-licensed Fiduciaries work under the supervision of a licensed Fiduciary, or designated principal, to gain knowledge and expertise during the pre-licensing period. This supervision allows pre-licensed Fiduciaries to increase responsibilities over time and fosters the necessary professional development needed to meet licensure eligibility requirements.

** Successful applicants not currently holding an Arizona Fiduciary License will be compensated at a salary rate equivalent to 97% of the rate determined to be appropriate based on the applicant's experience. A 3% increase will be awarded once licensure has been successfully obtained.

We Require

• Two years of responsible guardianship, conservatorship, decedent estate, or related fiduciary or probate experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Other Requirements

• Applicant must meet the eligibility requirements according to the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration (ACJA * 7-202) and A.R.S. * 14-5651; must register with the Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) as a trainee and be fingerprinted upon hire; obtain an Arizona Fiduciary License within 24 months of hire; and maintain that license in good standing

• Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license or have the ability to obtain one by the time of hire

We Also Value

• Post-secondary education with a specialization in Public or Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or another closely related field

• Experience managing caseloads that pertain to meeting the personal or financial needs of clients

• National Certified Guardian with the Center of Guardianship Certification

Job Contributions

• Represents the office at financial institutions and collects statements and funds, closes accounts when necessary
• Completes tax reviews for all estates annually and as needed throughout the year
• Reviews, processes, and audits a variety of financial documents
• Prepares petitions for compensation for all estates annually and as needed throughout the year
• Acts as the subject matter expert around the required supporting documentation for and tracking of any and all assets administered by the department
• Prepares and files court documents, including, but not limited to, inventories, accountings, notices, and miscellaneous documents specific to individual case estate needs
• Completes mandatory reports and audits to ensure the department maintains active compliance with laws, rules, codes, orders, and department policies
• Administers guardianships, conservatorships, and decedents' estates or performs other fiduciary duties as needed
• Coordinates, monitors, and oversees the Ward, Protected Person, or Estate affairs

Working Conditions

• Interacts with the public and persons of varying degrees of mental stability, and occasionally in hostile situations
• Enters residences where biohazard material or pest or rodent infestations may exist
• Must have the ability to work on-call nights and weekends on a rotating schedule
