Position Title: Controller - Temporary
Wage: Based on Experience Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced accounting professional for a 12-week temporary assignment. This position in Lenexa, KS is being added to provide coverage during a maternity leave and will support the company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly step into a Controller role, manage the accounting function independently, and ensure continuity throughout the temporary assignment. Controller Responsibilities: - Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations - Manage general ledger activity and month-end close - Prepare and review financial statements and accounting reports - Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable - Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records - Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management - Prepare and review journal entries and financial transactions - Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed - Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end accounting processes - Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures - Provide financial information and reporting to company leadership - Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies or issues - Support the accounting function and assist with other financial projects as needed Requirements for Controller: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred - Previous Controller or senior-level accounting experience - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting - Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a small-office environment - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Ability to quickly step into a role and maintain continuity with minimal training IND345 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has the resources of a large company but the feel and personalized customer service of a small one.
