Physician - Psychiatrist

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in collaboration with CHRISTUS St. Michael hospital in Texarkana is seeking a BE/BC Psychiatrist to join an established practice. This unique opportunity offers the stability and support of an employment model combined with the ability to maximize earnings through RVU-based compensation. The incoming physician will benefit from a strong referral network, a growing patient base, and the autonomy to expand clinical interests.

Practice Highlights:

* Practice ensures a first-year income guarantee, expected to be surpassed with an exceptional RVU-based compensation model which rewards individual performance.

• • The practice is in a standalone building directly across the street from the main CHRISTUS Campus; the beautiful 120-acre forested grounds are home to CHRISTUS St. Michael hospital, the in-patient Rehabilitation Hospital and CHRISTUS medical offices, and clinics. An ideal setting for professional collaboration.
  • The outpatient practice is comprised of 2 MD Psychiatrists and 1 Behavioral Health trained NP who see her own patient panel or backs up physicians when needed.
  • Recruitment of a new physician is in preparation for an upcoming retirement; physician treats predominately an adult population.
  • The office can accommodate 4 Physician/Providers should there be overlap.
  • The second Psychiatrist serves a large number adolescence and children.
  • The Incoming physician will see mostly Adult but may choose to treat a younger population.
  • There are no call requirements for practice nor hospital.
  • Treatments/common diagnosis: PTSD, ADHD. Autism, bipolar OCD, Anxiety, eating disorders. Practice does not see patients for addictions such as drug, alcohol or sexual
  • Patients are seen Mon-Fri 8 to 5 PM.
  • Nearest inpatient facility is Brentwood in Shreveport (1-hour awa).
  • Sleep studies referred to the hospital.

• 311-bed acute care hospital with a Level III Emergency Department and a full range of medical specialties represented.
• Christus after-hours triage services nurse line assists with call duties
• Epic EMR utilized across both clinic and hospital settings.

Qualifications:

• Unrestricted Texas License at start of practice
• Texas Registered DEA
• BC/BE Residency Psychiatry
• Upcoming graduation residents encouraged to inquire
