Your Job

Our Molex teams are seeking Procurement Interns to join our team in Summer 2026 (May - August) in Lisle, IL (just outside of Chicago). Each intern will receive a project in one of the below areas within the supply chain organization.

Koch Industries has been consistently selected as one of the top 100 Internship Programs in the U.S by WayUp. The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2027

Our Team

The Molex Procurement Capability creates improved, sustained performance supporting plants, increasing supply chain agility and meeting customers commitments. Our team supports the various markets across all Molex divisions including automotive, home appliance, consumer, data center, industrial, medical/pharma, and telecom.

What You Will Do

Our interns work alongside our employees to solve real problems and offer insights that benefit society through improving our products and services. In addition to being a contributor on their team, interns at Koch Companies learn about our unique Principle-Based Management culture, enjoy a variety of networking events to promote lasting career connections, and partner with interns from other disciplines on case studies, and participate in our Innovation Challenge. These are just a few key aspects of our internship program.

Below is a list of some of the Internships we have available under our Supply Chain/Procurement business units in the summer of 2027

Business Transformation Analyst intern- In this internship you will work with global Supply Chain teams to identify and improve business processes. You'll use data analysis and problem-solving skills to support technology-driven improvements, increase efficiency, and help teams achieve better results. We're looking for someone who is organized, analytical, collaborative, and communicates clearly. This role provides hands-on experience contributing to real business improvements and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze business processes and data to identify opportunities and inefficiencies.
  • Use structured problem-solving methods to help cross-functional teams make improvements.
  • Help develop communication plans as part of the adoption of new business applications.
  • Track the progress of transformation projects, help redefine metrics for success, making sure initiatives deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, on-time delivery, and user adoption.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to Identify training content gaps by conducting interviews, focus sessions, and analyzing data to determine the development of the necessary materials.

Business Systems Analyst Intern- In this internship you will work with the Molex Supply Chain Business Systems team in managing the business applications and business processes. This role will offer hands-on experience in purchasing and supplier management systems across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization - Be part of a team that works on solving problems and improving business processes. Utilize data analytics to help set priorities for areas of value. Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts may also be in scope.
  • Platform Configurations - Exposure to system configurations, supplier portals, supplier catalogs, workflows, process flow documentation, change control, acceptance testing.
  • System Integrations - Oversee data flows between systems like Coupa and enterprise systems (ERPs like SAP), see how we manage the data transfer between systems and build documentation to define integrations.
  • User Support and Training: Exposure to troubleshooting and supporting users. Participation with Training materials collaboration for improvements
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as finance, accounts payable, and business teams to ensure compliance and adoption. Work with teams on policy and process controls.

Direct Procurement Intern - In this internship you will work with the Molex Direct Procurement team supporting materials and components used in our products. You will partner with procurement, supply chain, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to analyze supplier and purchasing data, support sourcing activities, and help improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.

Responsibilities

* Analyze supplier, pricing, demand, and purchase-order data to identify cost, service, and supply opportunities.

* Support requests for quotation, bid comparisons, sourcing recommendations, and supplier communications for direct materials and components.

* Partner with cross-functional teams to track supplier performance, delivery risks, and actions that support continuity of supply.

* Assist with supplier onboarding, qualification, and documentation by coordinating information across procurement, quality, engineering, and supplier teams.

* Prepare project updates, dashboards, and recommendations that help the team make informed procurement decisions.

Learning Opportunities

* Gain exposure to direct-material sourcing, supplier management, and the role procurement plays in product cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.

* Build experience using procurement data and enterprise systems while collaborating with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Indirect Procurement Intern - In this internship you will work with the Molex Indirect Procurement team supporting the goods and services that enable our operations. You will use spend and supplier data to support category strategies, sourcing projects, supplier onboarding, and process improvements while partnering with business stakeholders, finance, accounts payable, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

* Analyze spend, supplier, contract, and purchasing data to identify sourcing, standardization, and process-improvement opportunities.

* Support competitive sourcing activities by gathering business requirements, preparing requests for information or quotation, and comparing supplier proposals.

* Assist with supplier onboarding and enablement activities, including collecting required information and tracking progress through procurement systems.

* Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to improve purchase-order compliance, invoice resolution, and adoption of preferred purchasing processes.

* Create dashboards, presentations, and project updates that communicate findings, risks, and recommended next steps.

Learning Opportunities

* Gain exposure to indirect category management, strategic sourcing, supplier enablement, and procurement systems such as Coupa and SAP.

* Develop skills in spend analysis, stakeholder engagement, supplier communication, and cross-functional project execution.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Enrolled in a Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, Procurement, Production/Operations, Information Sciences Technology, or Industrial Engineering degree or alternative program. (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2029
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

For this role, we anticipate paying $27 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
