Position Title: Fitter Welder
Wage: Up to $30/hour (Based on experience) Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-3:30pm We are seeking an experienced Structural Fitter Welder to join a growing team specializing in heavy plate fabrication. This role involves fitting and welding structural components using blueprints and specifications, with a focus on precision and quality. This is an opportunity for hire in Cudahy, WI. Fitter Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Fit and weld heavy plate material up to 1 inch thick - Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols - Perform MIG welding using .032-.045 wire - Measure, cut, and align materials to ensure proper fit-up - Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and measuring tools - Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards - Maintain a clean and safe work environment Fitter Welder Requirements: - Previous experience as a structural fitter/welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting - Strong blueprint reading and layout skills - Experience working with heavy plate (up to 1") - Proficiency in MIG welding (.032-.045 wire) - Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math - Strong attention to detail and workmanship - Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods - Preferred Welding certifications are a plus - Preferred experience with large structural assemblies IND159 | |
