Position Summary The Business Development Leader, Silicon Photonics and Optical Technologies, is a strategic leadership role responsible for expanding the company's position within silicon photonics, co-packaged optics, optical interconnect, and photonic integrated circuit markets. Working across customers, Sales, Application Engineering, Product Marketing, R&D, and ecosystem partners, this individual drives market strategy, customer engagement, technology pathfinding, and solution development for optical test applications spanning wafer probe, package test, system-level test, and manufacturing workflows. The role serves as both a technology leader and market strategist for the optical segment, aligning customer requirements, industry trends, partnerships, and product roadmaps to support profitable growth and design wins. Key Responsibilities Market and Segment Leadership * Develop and execute growth strategies for the Silicon Photonics and Optical Technologies segment. * Analyze technology roadmaps, customer investment patterns, competitive positioning, and emerging market opportunities. * Define strategic priorities for co-packaged optics, optical networking, AI infrastructure, photonic integrated circuits, and next-generation interconnect technologies. * Represent the company in relevant industry forums, technical workshops, customer reviews, and ecosystem engagements. Customer Technology Leadership * Build trusted relationships with customer engineering, architecture, test, manufacturing, and business leaders. * Lead technical review meetings, roadmap discussions, voice-of-customer activities, and pathfinding engagements. * Understand customer test insertions, device requirements, manufacturing challenges, and future optical test strategies. * Translate customer requirements into actionable solution priorities and internal technical deliverables. Solution Strategy and Product Influence * Evaluate customer requirements against available ATE, optical instrumentation, software, probing, handling, automation, and data capabilities. * Identify product, workflow, and ecosystem gaps and communicate them to Product Marketing and R&D. * Support the architecture of cross-product solutions spanning electrical and optical measurement requirements. * Influence product roadmaps and investment priorities using customer and market evidence. Business Development | September 2026 Ecosystem and Partnership Development * Develop relationships with foundries, OSATs, optical equipment suppliers, probe-card providers, package handling companies, and technology partners. * Create and manage strategic engagements for demonstrations, proof points, and solution validation. * Support partnerships that accelerate solution readiness and customer adoption. * Connect regional opportunities with global product and partnership strategies. Cross-Functional Business Development * Support account teams with market insight, technical strategy, differentiated positioning, and solution-selling content. * Coordinate priorities across Sales, Applications, Product Marketing, R&D, service, and regional Business Development organizations. * Develop executive presentations, technical papers, market maps, and customer-facing materials. * Lead through influence and establish alignment across organizations that may not share a direct reporting line.
