Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join an Agile development team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications that support critical customer requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development experience, particularly with Angular, Java, and Spring Boot, along with experience working in modern DevOps and cloud-based environments.


What will you do?

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using Angular, Java, and Spring Boot.

  • Participate in an Agile development environment, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.

  • Design, develop, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.

  • Develop efficient, reusable, scalable, and reliable application code.

  • Identify and resolve application bottlenecks, defects, bugs, and performance issues.

  • Follow established software development standards, coding practices, and engineering best practices.

  • Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.

  • Develop and maintain unit tests and support automated testing frameworks.

  • Apply established accessibility standards and best practices to front-end applications.

  • Work within established DevOps and CI/CD processes to support automated builds, testing, and deployments.

  • Develop and support applications utilizing microservices-based architectures.

  • Use GitHub for source control, code collaboration, branching, and version management.

  • Utilize Jenkins to support automated build, integration, and deployment processes.

  • Track development activities, requirements, defects, and sprint progress using JIRA.

  • Develop and support cloud-based applications using AWS services, including AWS Lambda.

  • Develop and maintain scripts, automation, or application components using Python.

  • Develop, deploy, and support containerized applications using technologies such as Kubernetes.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, DevOps engineers, and other technical stakeholders to deliver customer solutions.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.

  • Professional experience developing full-stack applications.

  • Strong hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Boot.

  • Strong front-end development experience using Angular.

  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs/RESTful services.

  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.

  • Experience with Git/GitHub for source code management and collaboration.

  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience developing or supporting applications within AWS cloud environments.

  • Experience with Python development or scripting.

  • Experience with unit testing and automated testing practices.

  • Understanding of microservices architectures and distributed application design.

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.

  • Experience using JIRA or similar Agile project management tools.

  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced software development environment.
