Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department ACUTE PhysiciansJob Summary ACUTE is a medical stabilization unit for people with medical complications from severe eating disorders or other causes of reversible severe malnutrition. Ninety-five percent of our patients come from outside Colorado seeking expert care for their medical complications before stepping down to further behavioral health focused care. The unit provides medical management, nutritional rehabilitation, physical rehabilitation, and psychiatric and psychological support to each patient during their recovery journey. The ACUTE hospitalist is responsible for providing care to patients requiring medical stabilization for severe malnutrition from an eating disorder during their stay at a hospital with minimal oversight from the ACUTE Medical Director. Their duties include managing schedules for inpatient treatments and coordinating care providers, ordering tests and maintaining medical records for their patients.
