Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Education Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills required for inventory tracking and shipping documentation.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, material handling, or logistics preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or production environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift operating experience, including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, highly preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer applications, data entry, inventory systems, email, and label printing.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and move products within a warehouse environment.

Job Duties

• Receive, inspect, verify, and organize incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders and outbound shipments according to company standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking materials and updating warehouse management systems.
• Use computers to enter data, print shipping labels, monitor shipments, and complete required documentation.
• Support warehouse and production operations by ensuring timely order fulfillment, maintaining a clean work area, and following all safety procedures.
