About the Role


Fabick Cat is seeking an experienced Power Generation Technician to support a major data center project beginning in 2027 in the New Florence, MO area. This position will focus on the installation, commissioning, load-bank testing and ongoing maintenance of extra-large generator sets in a mission-critical environment.



What You'll Do



  • Commission and maintain 3 MW diesel generator sets and related power generation systestems.
  • Perform and document load-bank testing and equipment performance testing.
  • Complete preventive maintenance, inspections and corrective repairs.
  • Diagnose issues using electrical schematics, service manuals and electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Document service activities, test results and equipment conditions.
  • Work closely with Fabick Cat, Caterpillar and customer teams to ensure reliable equipment operation.
  • Follow all site-specific safety requirements and maintain a clean, professional work environment.



What We're Looking For



  • Experience servicing diesel engines.
  • Experience with large-frame generator sets strongly preferred.
  • Experience with commissioning, startup, load-bank testing or data center power systems is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience with electronic diagnostic tools; Cat ET experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and varying shifts as required by the project.
